Peter Garrett Reportedly To Release New Solo Album Soon

Midnight Oil frontman Peter Garrett is reportedly planning a solo comeback very soon, having last recorded an album with the band in 2002 with Capricornia.

As Fairfax reports, sources have confirmed to AAP that the former politician has already recorded the album, with his publicist Paula Jones stating, "We have no comment to make at present."

The Daily Mail reports a number of renowned studio musicians for enlisted for the record.

Having left politics in 2013, Garrett recently published the memoir, Big Blue Sky, having just turned 63. The memoir details his time at university, fronting Midnight Oil and finally in the Labor government as an MP and environmental activist.
