Following its hugely successful first year, Australian Music Week (AMW) will return to Sydney's Cronulla Beach this November, it has been announced, with applications for the summit opening this week.

The event will include panels, masterclasses and networking sessions led by some of the industry's most influential players.

"The industry support has been incredible and we're working hard to ensure great results for this year's showcasing artists."

Each evening will host some of the nation's most promising rising talent, who will have the opportunity to play live in front of top music industry professionals. Showcases will also be open to the public.

One showcasing artist will be selected by a panel of delegates to receive the Australian Music Incentive Prize. The winner will have the opportunity to record with producer Damien Gerard, distribution of the single through MGM, radio servicing from The Right Profile and publicity from The PR Files.

Australian Music Week 2016 runs from 2-4 November in Cronulla. Band applications open this Friday, 22 April, and conference tickets go on sale Wednesday 1 June.
