The Writing Festival That Rocked Brisbane

Brisbane's debut event.

The inaugural Rock & Roll Writers Festival hit Brisbane over the weekend, which aimed to create a dialogue between authors, artists, commentators and songwriters about creativity and the challenges that come from writing.

Some of Australia's finest musicians and songwriters were present at the festival, held at The Brightside in Fortitude Valley, including Don Walker, Deborah Conway and Don McGlashan, while a number of authors were also present such as Chris Salewicz, Nicole Hayes and Jenny Valentish.

The festival was considered a huge success for organisers, which will no doubt aim to make a return next year.
