Melburnian rock'n'rollers The Living End have dropped details for their seventh album, Shift — their first since 2011's ARIA-winning The Ending Is Just The Beginning Repeating — as well as news of a national tour later this year.

With Shift due out 13 May, the rockabilly trio have set their sights on a five-date tour this June to showcase the songs from the new album, including their second single, Keep On Running.

Lead single Chris Cheney says of the song, "We all have moments where life is getting the better of us, but that's when you draw strength and come out the other side stronger".

The tour kicks off in Brisbane's The Tivoli on 10 June, before traipsing to Sydney, Perth, Melbourne and Adelaide until 25 June. They'll be supported nationally by Bad//Dreems and 131's
