“Our success is a testament to the WOMADelaide faithful."

The 2016 edition of Adelaide's premier festival WOMADelaide has broken all past attendance records, with more than 95,000 patrons passing through the gates over the weekend.

Held at Botanic Park over the long weekend, the four-day event hosted the likes over De La Soul, St Germain, Calexico and more, also taking in food and arts, and hit capacity during opening night on Friday, maintaining steady numbers throughout the weekend.

WOMADelaide director Ian Scobie said the results speak to their dedicated fans.

“Our success is a testament to the WOMADelaide faithful who make the pilgrimage to the festival every year with their continued support that has enabled the event to continue to grow in depth & diversity,” Scobie said.
