Melburnian chanteuse Olympia — Olivia Bartley on her passport — has announced the release of her debut album, aptly named Self Talk, as well as a set of national dates in support of it.

With two singles, Honey, This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things and Tourists, already released, Bartley has dropped a third in celebration of the upcoming album release, too. This one's called Smoke Signals and she's accompanied its release with an odd little '80s inspired video.

Bartley says of the new track: "Smoke Signals is about someone’s internal and unseen chaos, inspired in part by Japanese reality TV show Sweepstakes Life.

"A contestant (Nasabi) was locked naked in an apartment stocked only with Sweepstakes magazines. Millions tuned in daily to watch his declining mental state and increasingly emaciated frame."

Olympia's tour is due to kick off on 26 May in Sydney, carrying on through Brisbane, Maroochydore, Adelaide, Melbourne, Perth and Fremantle until 25 June.
