News that Australian rock legend Spencer P. Jones has become seriously ill and unable to work has sparked numerous benefit shows around the country, headlined by The Drones, Paul Kelly, Dave Faulkner and more, and a GoFundMe campaign.

Shows in WA and VIC have been set up by James Baker and Tex Perkins respectively and will see funds raised to help Jones’ recovery.

The first show will go down in Fremantle on March 20 at Mojo’s Bar with Dave Faulkner from Hoodoo Gurus, KISStake, The Painkillers, Beautiful Losers, Midfield Legends feat. members of Bad Seeds & The Triffids, Soulfisters and Maurice Flavels Intensive Care with more to be announced.

It goes from 2pm-8pm with a silent auction and tickets on the door.

The Melbourne benefit hits Prince Of Wales on April 15 and will feature The Drones, Paul Kelly, The Johnnys, Tex Perkins & Charlie Owen, Adalita, Renee Geyer, Two Am I, The Pink Tiles and more, with tickets on sale via the venue’s website.
