What a way to debut.

More Empire Of The Sun More Empire Of The Sun

It may have been released in 2008, but thanks to car manufacturing company Honda, Empire Of The Sun's breakout hit Walking On A Dream has not only finally made its debut on the US music charts, but it has also increased its ranking for the second week in a row.

Released in late December to promote the 2016 Honda Civic Sedan, the electronic duo's popular hit is used throughout the entire commercial entitled 'The Dreamer' and as a result, the song has finally cracked the US Billboard Top 100 after eight long years.

After debuting on the chart at #82, it has since moved up to #65. As Billboard reports, though it rose to #18 on the Dance Club Songs chart in 2009, it never cracked the Top 100, until now.

In Australia however, it peaked at #10 on the ARIA Singles Chart and placed at #4 on triple j's Hottest 100, while it also scored the gong for Single Of The Year at the 2009 ARIA Awards.

It should be noted however that Empire Of The Sun are actually a huge deal in the US.

Just last year, frontman Luke Steele performed to huge crowds throughout the country while on tour, which included a sell-out show at the iconic Hollywood Bowl (and let's not forget how much people seem to dig dressing up in Steele's signature make-up and crown at their live shows).
