ARIA-winning country music veteran Troy Cassar-Daley has swept this year's Golden Guitar Awards at Tamworth Country Music Festival by picking up five awards, including Album Of The Year and Heritage Song Of The Year.

Cassar-Daley, who was attending his 35th consecutive year at Tamworth, also picked up the top gong for Male Artist Of The Year, APRA Song Of The Year and Single Of The Year, with four of his five awards won for Freedom Ride, written and performed with Paul Kelly. Single Of The Year was awarded for Take A Walk In My Country.

Lee Kernaghan also picked up three Golden Guitars this year — adding to his very crowded awards shelf — for Spirit Of The Anzacs, including Vocal Collaboration Of The Year, Video Clip Of The Year and Top-Selling Australian Album Of The Year.

Elsewhere, Catherine Britt took out the gong for Female Artist Of The Year, while Shane Nicholson picked up Alternative Country Album Of The Year for Hell Breaks Loose and Adam Eckersley Band picked up Group or Duo Of The Year.
