Brisbane Bookshop Hosts British Author SJ Watson

The Avid Reader Bookshop in Brisbane will host a literary salon with British author SJ Watson on 24 August. 

He will be joined at the event by emerging writers. 

Watson arrives in Australia this month to promote his second novel Second Life, released in February this year through Text Publishing. The novel, set in Paris and London, follows Julia who is searching for answers following the violent death of her sister. It is the follow-up to his international bestseller of 2011 Before I Go To Sleep, which was adapted into a film in 2014, which starred Colin Firth and NIcole Kidman. 

Alongside his appearance at Avid Reader, he will also appear at the Melbourne Writers' Festival on 22 & 23 Aug, to discuss his latest psychological thriller with Andrew Nette, and on a panel about the issues of writing about sexual fantasy in a "post-50 Shades world". He will also be visiting Sydney's Better Read Than Dead on 25 Aug as part of their Talking Heads series.
