Following a 40-year career and ten studio albums, it has today been announced that beloved Australian singer Tina Arena will be inducted into the ARIA Hall Of Fame next month at the 2015 ARIA Awards

The Victorian songwriter will be inducted after picking up six ARIA wins throughout her career, which includes holding the honour of being the first woman to win the ARIA Album Of The Year gong back in 1995.

Speaking on her induction Arena said, "What a thrill to receive this recognition for what has been an incredible journey so far."

"I look forward to sharing this milestone with my peers along with the Australian public."

ARIA Chief Executive Officer Dan Rosen called it an honour to induct Arena into the hall of fame, where she will join a list of some of the country's biggest artists, including John Farnham, Jimmy Barnes and Kylie Minogue, among many more.

"The longevity of her recording career is a testament to enduring talent and artistry," Rosen said.

"We are proud to see Tina take her place amongst the icons of the Australian music industry in the ARIA Hall of Fame."

Arena first came on to the music scene at just eight years old, where she found success on variety television show, Young Talent Time.

She has gone on to garner an international audience, with a combined album sales total of over ten million. Her third studio album, 1994's Don't Ask, is certified 14x platinum in Australia.

The 2015 ARIA Awards will be held at The Star in Sydney on Thursday 26 November. General tickets are sold out, though the ceremony will be broadcast on Channel Ten.
