Simply Red Announce Aus 2016 Tour

Mick Hucknall & the gang are heading back.

In what will mark 30 years since the release of their very first album, veteran UK pop act Simply Red have announced they will be heading back to Australia in 2016 in celebration of their newly released record, Big Love.

The tour will kick off in the country next February and will see frontman Mick Hucknall and his band perform headline shows around the country, where they will be joined by special guest and support act, Natalie Imbruglia.

Commenting on the 2016 shows Hucknall said, "I like an anniversary, and this is a big one."

"30 years! It's incredible. What a great thing to celebrate!"

As well as performing headline shows in theatres and outdoor venues throughout Australia, Simply Red will also hit the the stage for an exclusive show at Sydney's Opera House Forecourt, as well as four A Day On The Green winery dates, which will see popular Aussie singer Tina Arena join the band for the Hunter Valley shows. 

Tickets for all shows go on sale from midday on Monday 14 September, while Telstra customers will be able to access a special 48-hour pre-sale to commence a few days earlier on September 8, also from midday. 

My Live Nation members will also be among the first to get their hands on tickets with an additional pre-sale to commence from 2pm on Thursday 10 September.
