Tired Lion Sign UK Booking Deal

WA-based rockers Tired Lion have expanded their quest of world domination, signing a booking deal with UK agency X-Ray Touring.

It’s been a massive 12 months for the Perth four-piece, with highlights including a slot on the Splendour In The Grass bill and a tight triple J Like A Version performance this year, and their latest signing follows a run of sold-out national tour dates in support of their latest EP, Figurine – which you can stream here – and a slew of other praise leading up to another run of shows this month, including BIGSOUND.

X-Ray Touring currently books Aussies Bad//Dreems, Courtney Barnett, Hilltop Hoods, The Creases and Nick Cave and international talent Blur, Smashing Pumpkins and Queens Of The Stone Age and more.

Guitarist Matt Tanner said the band was excited to be represented by an agency with such an impressive roster.

“We're all pretty stoked ‘cause they rep a bunch of bands we love like Yuck and The Smashing Pumpkins," Tanner told theMusic.com.au.

“We immediately started taking about how rad it'd be to go to the UK and the antics we'd get up to. A couple of us may have to become Uber drivers to save some money for airfares."

You can catch Tired Lion at the Poison City Weekender this Saturday, 5 September, and the following week at BIGSOUND. They’re also scheduled to play a run of festival dates and support British India later in the year.
