Where and when to catch Montaigne, I Know Leopard and Coin Banks

More Montaigne More Montaigne

Off the back of the announcement of The Set List regional touring initiative back in June in which Sydneysiders Montaigne, I Know Leopard and Perth's Coin Banks were revealed as the first artists on the program, today theMusic.com.au are exclusively revealing the dates and regional locations that the three acts will head to.

Songstress Montaigne will kick off her leg of the tour in WA at the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre this October and will also be heading to Sunshine Coast's Lake Kawana Community Centre and Rockhampton's Pilbeam Theatre.

Coin Banks will take to the road less travelled in late September, stopping by Mackay Entertainment Centre, Gladstone Entertainment Centre and Colac Otway Performing Acts & Cultural Centre in early October.

Finally, I Know Leopard has the most dates of all — the quartet will stop by cities like Maryborough in QLD, Townsville, Port Hedland, Hobart and Geraldton, from late September to late October.

The Set List is a unique initiative created by Australia Council's Playing Australia program, and is aimed at getting 16 to 22 year olds involved with poster design competitions, music journalism, being part of a tech crew and more, and also benefits up-and-coming musicians to showcase their art to lesser known audiences.

Arts On Tour manager Heather Dransfield says, "The Set List shows there are many ways to join the live music world and being a musician is only one of them. Music writers, promoters, tech crews and even graphic designers are all helping to make the music world go ‘round. We’re hoping that The Set List will open some of those doors for young music fans."
