Victorian singer-songwriter D. D. Dumbo will join celebrated chanteuse Laura Marling for her impending run of shows around the country this October, it has been announced.

Dumbo has been trucking along with aplomb since the release of his self-titled debut EP (not to mention a cracking performance at BIGSOUND) last year, having graced stages at Pitchfork Festival in Paris, Latitude (over in the UK) as well as events back at home such as Meredith Music Festival and Splendour In The Grass. In addition, he's found time to rub shoulders with Tame Impala and Jungle over in the UK, and the unstoppable Courtney Barnett in Australia - all while putting in the time and effort to bring his eagerly awaited debut studio full-length to life.

The news of his support slot comes along with the revelation that Marling's tour is expanding to include a performance in Melbourne, on Monday, 19 October, at Hamer Hall, taking the total number of stops up to five, with the tour train rolling through Perth first on Friday, 16 October, before hitting Adelaide on 17 October, Sydney on 20 October and Brisbane on 21 October.
