Hirsute metal veteran Zakk Wylde and his band Black Label Society are headed to Australia for the first time in almost a decade to play a five-date run of shows all around the country at the end of this year.

Kicking off in Fremantle, at Metropolis, on Wednesday, 25 November, the raucous riffmasters will take their sonic raid through Adelaide (HQ, Friday, 27 November), Sydney (Roundhouse, 28 November), Brisbane (The Tivoli, 29 November) and, finally, Melbourne, where they perform their last show at 170 Russell on Tuesday, 1 December.

The band hasn't been sitting around waiting for time to pass in the nine years since they last graced our shores, and have released a further two albums — 2010's Order Of The Black and 2014's Catacombs Of The Black Vatican — in the intervening years, so there will be plenty of fresh material alongside the band's voluminous back catalogue to please new and long-time fans alike.

Tickets for Black Label Society's 2015 Australian tour will go on sale from 9am local time this coming Friday, 7 August, via Destroy All Lines.
