Irish Rockers The Riptide Movement Announce Debut Aus Tour

30 July 2015 | 9:40 am | Staff Writer

Coming this October.

They formed in 2009 and have released three studio albums, but Irish rock outfit The Riptide Movement have never toured Australia. That is, until now.

The Dublin-founded quartet will make the trip over this October in support of their latest album, Getting Through which topped the charts in their home country.

Speaking on the upcoming tour, which has already seen the band tour through the UK, Ireland, Germany and Spain, frontman Malachy Tuohy said: "We've never, ever taken ‘no’ for an answer."

"If there’s something we want to do or achieve, we just sit down and say, ‘How are we going to make it happen?’ And it happens. I think that positivity and ‘If we all pull together…’ spirit comes through in our music too."
