Although back in March, Oasis' chief songwriter and vocalist Noel Gallagher told us he'd "watch them [DMA's] from side of stage and boo them" because the band cites Oasis as a primary influence, DMA's have told a British radio station that Gallagher did no such thing.

Lead singer of DMA's, Tommy O'Dell, told WOW24/7 that, "Nah, he never watched, I don’t think he even remembers or knows who we are to be honest.

"Our drummer went in his green room at the Ball to rack some booze but he was in there doing an interview. I still don’t know why he tried to do that, though, there was free unlimited grog at the artist bar.

"I would love to meet Noel, though; he’s done everything in music and I reckon he’d be an interesting dude to talk to, especially for me who is just starting out."

In an interview with The Music, Gallagher had said, "No, I can’t say I’ve had the displeasure of listening to it [DMA's] yet."

He also added, "When I wake up tomorrow, extremely hungover, I shall maybe get on my computer and see if I can find anything by these fuckin’ DMA’s."

The Sydney trio have been racking up interest all over the world, recently playing Governor's Ball in New York City and currently on the road in the UK, Europe and North America.

When asked what other Aussie bands to look out for, O'Dell gave fellow Sydneysiders Green Buzzard a shout-out, along with Bad//Dreems who "have a big future" and Sydney indie outfit World Champion.
