Brisbane prog rockers Dead Letter Circus have announced the name and release date of their third studio album, Aesthesis — their first since 2012's The Catalyst Fire.

Due for release on 14 August, Aesthesis was produced by Zach Hylton (The Getaway Plan), Forrester Savell (Karnivool) and Matt Bartlem, with singer Kim Benzie offering, "Writing this album made us realise how deeply we actually love creating music and more importantly making music with each other."

The five-piece have also dropped the first track, While You Wait, from the forthcoming album, which you can view the video for below.

Dead Letter Circus are currently on the road promoting the new single; they'll be playing a sold-out show in Brisbane tomorrow, a sold-out show in Sydney on Thursday, 16 July, a sold-out show in Melbourne on Friday, 17 July, Adelaide on Saturday, 18 July and finally Perth on Sunday, 19 July.
