Kyle & Jackie O Numbers Slip For Fifth Consecutive Ratings Period

The latest radio ratings are in.

We're just over halfway through 2015 and the fourth radio ratings have just been released with some interesting statistics.

The latest surveys has breathed some life into the struggling 2DayFM network, long-time ratings winners Kyle & Jackie O experienced a massive slump and the triple j network has experienced slight drops across the board.

They have dominated FM radio for some time but the cracks may begin to be showing for KIISFM's Kyle & Jackie O. While it may be a little to early to panic just yet, the powerhouse duo's numbers slipped for the fifth consecutive time with this survey being the most devastating, as they dropped from 10.2 to 8.6 to tie with Jonesy & Amanda on WSFM

Similarly the KIIS drive slot made up of Dave Hughes and Kate Langbroek took a massive hit and dropped 2.2 points to hold a 9.1 share, while Nova's Kate, Tim & Marty reclaimed top spot with a share of 10.1.

Meanwhile, 2DayFM's newest breakfast duo Dan & Maz have seen a slight increase to clinch a 3.3 share — up 0.9 from the previous survey. While they still sit a great distance away from competitors, the Southern Cross Austereo network will hope the increase is a sign of things to come. 

Sydney's triple j was the only network in the country to experience steady results — the breakfast numbers jumped up by 0.2 to hold a 5.7 share, while they also saw an increase of 0.7 in the afternoon slot.

Off the back of the previous survey, Brisbane's Nova network have again made massive jumps in the ratings, thanks to big increases in the breakfast and drive slots. 

The Ash, Kip & Luttsy show had an increase of 0.6 to claim a share of 13.3, while Kate, Tim & Marty's national show climbed an incredible 2.6 point to claim a share of 17.0. 

ARN's 97.3FM again retained top position in Brisbane's market with a weekday share of 14.0 and also took out the most listened to breakfast show across the board with 13.7.

ARN's Gold finally took out the outright lead in the ratings wars after previously tying with Triple M's The Hot Breakfast show — Gold came in with a share of 8.9 while Triple M were right behind them with 8.7.

The Hot Breakfast again impressed in its slot, increasing its share by 0.4 to claim a 9.6. 

Triple j couldn't back up the solid numbers from the previous survey, dropping down 0.2 to claim a weekday share of 6.4 The breakfast slot cost the station dearly as it also dropped 0.7 points to hold a 4.9 share.

Meanwhile, FoxFM bounced back up by 1.1 to increase its weekday share to 9.6. — the breakfast show hosted by Fifi & Dave climbed 1.0 from the previous survey to take out a share of 6.8.

While Hughesy & Kate numbers declined in other states, they still managed to hold the #1 drive slot in Adelaide, though they dropped 0.1 from last survey to take out a share of 15.5.
 
Kate, Tim & Marty are hot on their tails however, jumping up 0.8 to claim a share of 15.1.
 
Triple j again experienced a decline in numbers, with the biggest drop coming from weekends — it fell 1.6 points from the previous survey to take out a share of 5.8, while the drive show dropped 0.6 to claim a 9.2 share — In some better news the breakfast slot climbed by 0.2 points to claim a share of 7.7.

Ironically after Perth's triple j network was the most impressive in the last survey, this time out has seen large drops across the board, resulting in a weekday decline of 1.9 to land a 10.4 share. 

While breakfast dropped 1.6 points to claim a 9.6 share, the afternoon slot suffered the biggest hit, dropping 3.0 points to hold a 10.9 share.

Meanwhile, Nova 93.7FM experienced increases across the board excluding the evening slot, with the biggest increase coming in the afternoon slot, jumping 2.3 points to claim a share of 13.0.
