Dust off your turntables and get ready to take on the defending title, DJ B2wo!

2015 marks three decades since the DMC World DJ Championships first kicked off, with the competition unearthing and nurturing many DJs who have enjoyed fruitful careers on the international stage — Cash Money, Mix Master Mike and DQ Q Bert, to name a few.

The State Heats this year will kick off on 7 August in Victoria with the deck-dwelling musos continuing on in Perth on 14 August, Brisbane on 21 August, Sydney on 27 August, Canberra on 28 August and finally Adelaide on 4 September. The National finals with the winners from each state will be held in Melbourne on 11 September.

Once DMC Australia has crowned a winner, the Australian DMC Champion will head to London to complete in the 2015 World DMC Championships.

The DMC Championships operate in over 40 countries at this stage and has become the one of the most integral awards to win in the DJ scene, along with titles from the International Turntablist Federation and the International DJ Association.
