Rock Your Baby To Sleep To The Sound Of Punk Music

We're all familiar with baby lullaby songs, they were a lifesaver to keep us (and our parents) amused or put us all to sleep - Twinkle Twinkle, Baa Baa Black Sheep, Hush Little Baby, the list goes on. 

But did you ever think it would be possible for a baby to be rocked to sleep to the sound of Blink-182? How about Jimmy Eat World? Well, a genius first-time father living in the US has made it possible with his own website, 'Sparrow Sleeps' that sell full blown punk albums remixed as lullaby renditions. 

Speaking to Substream, Casey Cole revealed that he grew bored of the traditional tunes that he would use to put his daughter Sparrow to sleep at night and that inspired him to remake some of his favourite punk songs as lullabies. 

What started as a few songs just under two years ago has now turned into a fifteen album catalogue, featuring some of Cole's favourite punk-rock bands; Brand New, Taking Back Sunday, MXPX, Saves The Day and more. 

And what makes this even cooler, Cole cleverly renames each album to suit the 'baby demographic' — the Blink album is called Boob Ranch (in reference to the band's 1997 record, Dude Ranch) Taking Back Sunday's Louder Now has been remade as Quieter Now and Cole's most recent album which has been released this week, features songs from US pop-punk outfit The Starting Line entitled Based On A True Snorning, named after the original record, Based On A True Story.
