Finalists for each category to be announced soon

In its fifth annual year, APRA AMCOS and Australian Music Centre have announced the details of the 2015 ART Music Awards, to take place at Sydney's City Recital Hall on Tuesday, 11 August.

Aimed to bring light of outstanding talents in the fields of contemporary art music, jazz and experimental music, the event will award prizes in categories such as Performance Of The Year, Work Of The Year: Orchestral, Award For Excellence In Music Education and Award For Distinguished Services To Australian Music.

Needless to say, it is an honour to be nominated or awarded a prize at the ART Music Awards, presented by the event's 2015 host — TV presenter, writer and radio producer, Fenella Kernebone.

With the night's performances and finalists for each category to be announced soon, APRA AMCOS's CEO Brett Cottle says, "The awards are a show of support to the composers and creators, as well as the academics and educators, who continue to innovate and experiment despite the challenges faced within the creative arts sector."
