More Artists & Industry Experts Named For Little BIGSOUND 2015

The youth-focused spin-off of the annual BIGSOUND industry showcase and conference, Little BIGSOUND, is expanding its 2015 offerings even further with a second line-up announcement of speakers joining the event's previously announced roster of presenters.

Adding their knowledge and experience to proceedings will be Trina Massey (Smack Face Music), Dan Graetz (Graetzmedia), Jane Slingo (Young Strangers), Brissy-based booker Julia Bridger, creative-industries accountant Matthew Tucker (of Brian Tucker CPA), The Brisbane Collective co-founder and graphic designer Megan Starr-Thomas and music publicist Sarah Chipman (Title Track).

The new cohort joins an existing line-up of industry luminaries such as 4ZZZ's Chris Cobcroft, producer Magoo, Footstomp Music's Graham Ashton, Collision Course's Tim Price, among others, as well as artists Dean McGrath (Rolls Bayce, Hungry Kids Of Hungary), Sahara Beck, Danny Kenneally (As Paradise Falls), Jarryd Shuker (Art Of Sleeping), Lawrence English and Hans "Hunz" Van Vliet.

Of course, it wouldn't be BIGSOUND — Little or otherwise — without some live music, and though we were already aware that Mackay duo Tia & Jack would be providing proceedings with a much-needed injection of tunes, it has been revealed that there also be performances from local indie-popper Alex Crook (and band), plus the ebullient indie-rock of two-piece noisemakers The Con & The Liar.

"Little BIGSOUND has been an amazing learning experience for myself and the team, and we couldn't be happier with the way everything has turned out this year," the event's youth curator, Fiona Campbell, said in a statement. "We've selected a really great cross-section of industry speakers and musicians, all of which have a wealth of knowledge to provide those that head along."

Little BIGSOUND runs from 8.30pm-3.30pm on Monday, 27 July, at the Judith Wright Centre, Fortitude Valley. For more information, see the official website.
