EXCLUSIVE: Lemon Tree Music Management Sign New Acts Amid Pierce Brothers Success

The nascent agency has nabbed another two up-and-coming artists in management deals

Fledgling company Lemon Tree Music Management has enjoyed swift success since its inception in 2013, quickly picking up deals with the likes of Pierce Brothers and BONJAH, and they're now expanding their interests further with the announcement of two new signings being brought into the LTMM fold.

The artists joining the growing Lemon Tree family will be up-and-coming Perth artist Anna O — who has recently delivered an evocative single in the form of Whisper and been quick to earn the praise of punters and critics alike as it begins to turn more heads — and fellow West Australian troubadour Jack Stirling, who now resides in Melbourne and lives and breathes the DIY ethos, having set up his own home studio (aka the 'Lunar Space Module') in which to record his forthcoming debut EP.

It's fair to say that both acts, with well-honed work ethic and an understanding of pulling themselves up on their own, fit in seamlessly with Lemon Tree's existing philosophy, which was born when co-founders  Regan Lethbridge and David Morgan "bought laptops, put together a business plan, signed up BONJAH and Pierce Brothers, who we passionately believe in, maxed out our phone bills and jumped in the deep end", as Lethbridge puts it.

"We are delighted Anna and Jack are joining our management roster," Lethbridge said. "We see massive potential in these young acts, and are looking forward to the years ahead working together."

For her part, Anna O certainly echoes the company's excitement at her signing with "the team of absolute bosses" with whom she will now work: "Regs and Dave are passionate, smart and go above and beyond," she said in a statement. "I love that working with these guys means that my band and I get to put all our energy into making music."

Stirling, too, is ebullient about his new prospects with Lemon Tree, saying in a statement: "When faced with the challenge of launching and delivering my 'Lunar Mountain Pop' to the kind beings of this planet, I knew there was only one team courageous enough to join me in this conquest.

"It is my pleasure to be embarking on this expedition with the gallant and dynamic troupe of Lemon Tree Music Management. To infinity and beyond, compadres... now, where's my space helmet?"

Both acts are right to be jazzed about the future - an affiliation with Lemon Tree has certainly served Pierce Brothers and BONJAH well. After all, the latter recently released new single Burn (And Shine) and have been spending a fair bit of time lately writing and recording new music following a very successful tour.

Meanwhile, Pierce Brothers have been crushing it at a preternatural level, having signed all manner of deals in the wake of taking up with Lemon Tree (among them, 123 Agency, Free Trade Agency, The Agency Group, Warner Music Australia/NZ, Mushroom Publishing) not to mention graced high-profile stages at Canadian Music Week and The Great Escape - plus other international jaunts and repeat sellouts almost every time they step out in Melbourne.

With a new single soon and an EP to follow in spring, it doesn't look as though things are likely to let up for Pierce Brothers any time soon - which should sit as a very encouraging marker for Anna O and Jack Stirling, both of whom we're excited to hear more in future.
