Your guide to this weekend's event

We had a blast hanging out at Supanova in Sydney over the weekend and thought we’d recap our adventures. Here’s some reasons to head to the Perth leg of the event this weekend if you’re based in WA.

From Firefly’s Nathan Fillion to Pokémon voice actors Eric Stuart and Veronica Taylor, there’s always insightful conversations going down at the Supanova panels. The Music sat in on Sydney’s Futurama panel with John DiMaggio and Billy West, and it was awesome. Watch highlights right here.

The aforementioned guests only scratch the surface of this year’s talent pool, and they all spent their weekend chatting with fans and answering question about their work. We caught up with a bunch of guests, including wrestling legend Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts. It’s definitely worth popping by his booth for a chat in Perth.

Con fans are some of the best in the world. The amount of dedication, thought and intricacy put into some of the costumes is inspiring, and you will see almost everything at Supanova. It’s one of few times a year that they can truly express themselves among other likeminded individuals on such a large scale. The fans alone are worth the trip – check out our Sydney cosplay gallery for photographic evidence.

If you’re up for some light reading before the big event, we’ve got you covered. We chatted with headline guests such as a The Flash star Danielle Panabaker about what to expect from her appearance at Supanova. Read up and prepare some questions for the Q&As.

Supanova takes over Perth Convention & Exhibition Centre 26-28 June.
