Lauded ACT-bred party-starters Peking Duk have signed a deal for Australia and New Zealand with renowned industry player Universal Music Publishing Australia, it has been announced.

The exclusive ANZ agreement comes as the pair continue to work on their eagerly awaited debut full-length album, and was announced today by UMPA managing director Bob Aird and Australian director of A&R Heath Johns, with the latter saying that the company were "beyond excited" to have sealed the deal with Peking Duk, individually made up of lusciously haired musos Adam Hyde and Reuben Styles.

"As Adam and Reuben move closer to their keenly anticipated debut album, we look forward to facilitating a range of creative collaborations," Johns said. "Peking Duk are a rare and special group and this will be a rare and special record."

Styles and Hyde themselves say they are "stoked" with the development, which arrives following their breakthrough year in 2014, which saw them storm their way to becoming debut dual entrants in the triple j Hottest 100 top five as well as complete a sell-out regional tour, go double Platinum for their single Take Me Over, featuring fellow Canberrans SAFIA, and triple Platinum with their ARIA Award-winning hit High, featuring Nicole Millar.
