The former bassist of The Rolling Stones has made a return with the announcement of his first album in 33 years, as well as the release of a new single.

Bill Wyman has recently dropped the track, What & How & If & When & Why from his fourth solo studio album, Back To Basics

Since departing from the iconic British band in 1993 after 31 years, Wyman has gone on to write several books, as well as compose and produce numerous projects in music, film and TV.

Speaking on his new single, the 78-year-old musician said: "I was watching the video of Bob Dylan’s Subterranean Homesick Blues with the song cards that he tosses aside and I thought I’d like to do something like that."

"Not that my song is anything like it of course but I think it inspired me. So I set about working on different sets of rhymes, sixes and fours, and it just came into being. It’s not the sort of song I usually write."

Check out the new song below and Back To Basics is set for release through Proper Records on June 22.
