US Music Producer Steve Lillywhite To Attend APRA AMCOS SongHubs

Super producer to head Down Under

Six-time Grammy winning producer Steve Lillywhite has been confirmed to take part in global song writing initiative, SongHubs in Australia next month. 

The US producer who has worked with high profile acts such as U2 and The Rolling Stones will fly to the country on behalf of APRA AMCOS as one of four international guests; fellow producer Cruickshank, songwriter Audra Mae and Hot Chelle Rae guitarist Nash Overstreet will also be in attendance. 

They will work in a series of production sessions with a number of Australian and New Zealand artists from June 3, including Megan WashingtonReece MastinThomstonJP Fung and more in the annual collaboration which brings together world renowned writers and producers and APRA AMCOS members. 

In a recent interview with APRAP, Lillywhite said: "A collaboration is only successful if the best possible mix of talent shine though. I can’t stand blind faith. Faith is a ‘purposeful suspension of critical thinking.’ I want the artists I work with to be critically thinking, I want them to be interesting."

Lillywhite is currently in Bali for the annual Bali Songwriting Invitation where he is working alongside Aussie songwriter Stuart Crichton before he makes his way to Australia for SongHubs.
