More Pierce Brothers More Pierce Brothers

After putting on impressive overseas performances recently at the Canadian Music WeekThe Great Escape and London Calling, Aussie duo Pierce Brothers have signed with US agency, The Agency Group

Darcy Gregoire of The Agency Group in Toronto said of the guys: "Pierce Brothers really tore it up at Canadian Music Week."

"We loved their music, their energy, and their presence both on stage and off. Can’t wait to see them introduced to North American audiences – they’re going to blow everyone away here."

The brothers from Melbourne, Jack and Pat, secured the deal as they embark on a three month European tour that will see them play 50 major festival and headline dates, including support shows for fellow Aussie act, The Cat Empire.

In what is another coup for the folk-indie group who started their career by busking in Melbourne's Bourke Street Mall — and are now managed worldwide by Lemon Tree Music, Pierce Brothers also performed on live radio yesterday while doing press in the Netherlands, to millions of listeners who tuned in.

The two performed a solid cover of Mark Ronson's recent hit, Uptown Funk, which included a cameo appearance of course, from our native didgeridoo. Check out the cover below.

Meanwhile, the boys have also announced that they will be releasing a new single and EP later this year for their Aussie fans.
