Melbourne punk-rockers The Smith Street Band have announced they will be teaming up with their long time label, Poison City Records, to co-curate a brand new festival.

Hot off their performances at the Poison City Weekender Fest in Melbourne this September, the newly created I Love Life event will take place in Sydney and Brisbane the following weekend, which the quartet will also perform at.

Poison City's Andy Hayden said of the event: "We’re hoping to bring to Brisbane and Sydney, what the Weekender means to Melbourne; an inclusive celebration of live music where everyone feels they’re amongst friends.”

They'll be joined on the bill by a number of big US acts including some of the Weekender acts such as Phoenix anti-folk troupe, Andrew Jackson Jihad, Philly punkers Modern BaseballIron Chic and The Sidekicks who will all be touring Australia for the very first time.
