These past seven days have been unusually busy for news, especially with the raft of Splendour In The Grass sideshows that came at us in the back half of the week, so more than ever we feel like Second Chance Sunday can really be a mate and give you another crack at some stories that may have passed you by.

In Hearts Wake have outdone themselves lately with the preparations for the release of forthcoming album Skydancer, most recently by hiding a new track, Insomnia, in a customised video game starring the band that is also soundtracked by leadsingle Breakaway. Noice.

Alkaline Trio frontman Matt Skiba wouldn’t mind making this whole ‘playing guitar in blink-182’ thing more than just a part-time venture, saying that going official is “something I would be very excited to do”.
