More Bluesfest More Bluesfest

Central Coast-bred 'alternative bluescore' two-piece Grizzlee Train and Sunshine Coast indie-pop duo Tim and Sam Aitken, aka Hoo8Hoo, have taken out the win in this year's Bluesfest Busking Competition, with the victorious acts both given the chance to strut their stuff in a festival setting this past weekend.

Both acts left Bluesfest seemingly pretty stoked with their respective turnouts, Hoo8Hoo thanking the crowd for their attendance despite the rain, and saying the Bluesfest experience was a "bonza" one, while the size of the crowd that turned out to see Grizzlee Train in action left the accomplished outfit almost speechless.

Thanks Bluesfest crowd for hanging around and enjoying our music even though it was raining. We had a bonza time! Can't wait to do it again next year.~ Sam & Tim

Getting the chance to grace a Bluesfest stage was an achievement made extra sweet for Hoo8Hoo after brother Tim was awarded a custom-made guitar by Paul Kneller of Hard Road-Kneller Guitars, to be given to a promising guitarist of his choosing across both the competition's under-17 and over-18 brackets.
