The replacement for The Black Keys has been revealed

More British India More British India

Melbourne alt-rock mainstays British India have been added to the Bluesfest line-up, a day before the event kicks off.

The four-piece will act as a replacement for The Black Keys, who pulled out of the event last month after drummer Patrick Carney failed to make a full recovery from a shoulder injury in time for the event.

British India will perform on the Friday night of the event, on the Mojo Stage at 7:30, before Paolo Nutini and Alabama Shakes close the night out.

Festival Director Peter Noble said the timing of The Black Keys cancellation made it difficult to get an international act in to replace them, but he expected British India to "deliver a great show".
