And it. will. be. epic

More King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard More King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard

For a bunch of psychedelic garage-rockers, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard sure are a remarkably focused band, having already released five full-length studio albums since 2012, and they're about to make it six following the band's announcement of their next LP, Quarters!.

The new album, which is due out on Friday, 1 May, through Flightless/Remote Records, is already shaping up to be rather an epic-sounding progress, with the band revealing that the album will contain only four tracks — but that each will clock in with a running time of 10 minutes and 10 seconds.

Planned for limited-release pressing on 12" 180-200gm gold vinyl, the album will also be available digitally (pre-orders open on iTunes today), though that version will lack the 350gsm reverse-board sleeve with gold-foil font hand-painted by Jason Galea.

The band will be announcing an accompanying launch tour for the new release in the near future but, until that news drops, you can satiate yourself with a listen of first-taste single God Is In The Rhythm below.
