Jen Cloher Unveils New Single & Video Clip

It's been more than a year since celebrated Aussie singer-songwriter Jen Cloher released her acclaimed third full-length In Blood Memory and, although she's been keeping nice and busy with some high-profile collaborations, support slots and festival appearances, she's ready to follow it up in style with new clip and single Needle In The Hay.

Announced as part of her second release with IRL partner Courtney Barnett (the pair dropped the joint Mount Beauty/History Eraser split in 2012), with Barnett's Swan Street Swagger rounding out the split, Needle In The Hay will be released on Saturday, 18 April, via Milk! Records. Check out the Charlie Ford-directed video below.

To celebrate the release of the split, Cloher and her band — Jen Sholakis, Courtney Barnett and Bones Sloane — will be taking to the Shadow Electric on the day of release (which just so happens to be Record Store Day) for a commemorative gig featuring support from local legends Totally Mild and The Finks.
