Conrad Sewell, this is your moment

More Ed Sheeran More Ed Sheeran

Brisbane-bred Aussie pop singer-songwriter Conrad Sewell, aka Conrad, has been named as one of the two acts set to support British star Ed Sheeran on his forthcoming sold-out tour of the country, alongside fellow Brit Jamie Lawson.

Sewell is a recent signee to Lyor Cohen's label, 300 Entertainment, a step up that comes in tandem with his attention-grabbing debut single, Hold Me Up. Although the track — which was produced by Brian Lee (Lady Gaga, Icona Pop) and Luis Bell — won't be officially available to own until this Friday, 6 March, it's already doing the rounds on the airwaves, so you may have inadvertently crossed paths with the Queensland muso's distinctly soulful brand of synth-soaked, dancy gospel pop without even knowing it.

Sewell joins Lawson in support of Sheeran at all of the X scribe's antipodean shows; the tour kicks off in a little more than a fortnight at Brisbane's Riverstage, where the trio will perform three shows from 20-22 March before stopping in for repeat sold-out showings in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth before Sheeran and Lawson jet off across the ditch to finish the tour in New Zealand.
