Soundwave Confirms 'Comfort Zone' Details For Syd/Bris Events

Although Adelaide and Melbourne missed out, this weekend's punters will be able to put their feet up away from the masses

The second weekend of this year's touring Soundwave Festival will feature the much-touted Comfort Zone, organisers have confirmed.

Although the zone has been the subject of much speculation, such as whether or not the Comfort Zone would be a fixture of this year's festival after its absence at last weekend's Melbourne and Adelaide events, Soundwave has explained that this is the first official announcement of the zone, and that earlier information was the result of promoter AJ Maddah "thinking out loud before final details were ready".

Promising "clean (flushable, serviced) toilets, a full licensed bar, yummy coffee, roaming masseuses and somewhere comfortable to sit out of the sun while you and the mobile recharge", the Comfort Zone will cost an extra $30+bf for single-day entry or $50+bf for both days, and also includes easy EFTPOS access, an ice-cream stall and a cake bar.

Understandably, access to the Comfort Zone will be exceedingly limited — though only in terms of ticket numbers, as the previously conjectured "30+" stipulation has been removed, allowing anyone of legal drinking age or over potential access to somewhere to escape the throng.
