Jane Gazzo Breaks Glass Ceiling Into Triple M

Gazzo's tenure at Triple M begins in April

Foxtel personality Jane Gazzo has joined the Triple M Melbourne team as a presenter, taking over the 9am to 12pm slot.

Gazzo, who is currently one of the faces of Foxtel's MAX TV, is replacing "Dangerous" Dave Williams, who has now moved to the rush hour slot in the afternoon. The Melburnian will begin her tenure at the station on 7 Apr.

The addition of Gazzo to the Triple M team comes after the station was criticised mid-last year for its predominantly male roster, in particular, a photo that was tweeted with 25 of the station's presenters, who were all male.

Gazzo is no stranger to radio, having worked for 3RRR and triple j in the early stages of her career, as well as a stint on British stations BBC, X-FM and Capitol FM.

"People who know me, know how much I love my music and to be back on the radio in my home town on the home of modern rock and killer classics is just mind blowing," Gazzo said of the announcement.

"The bloke who signed Oasis once said to me, 'When rock is female, it only gets better' - I hope Melbourne is ready!"
