Jurassic 5's DJ Nu-Mark thinks so

More Jurassic 5 More Jurassic 5

Being a member of one of the most respected and acclaimed hip hop groups around gives plenty of clout to Jurassic 5's DJ Nu-Mark when it comes to breaking down the best albums of the genre.

The J5 mainstay has listed for us, in his humble opinion, the most influential hip hop albums of all time and in doing so, taken us back to what is considered the golden age of the scene. It's a pretty damn incredible list and even though we basically knew it before, we are now certain that DJ Nu-Mark sure knows his shit.

1. NasIllmatic (1994)

2. Dr. DreThe Chronic (1992)

3. Main SourceBreaking Atoms (1991)

4. Eric B. & RakimPaid In Full (1987)

5. Chill Rob GRide The Rhythm (1989)

Jurassic 5 are touring next month and April, playing a number of headline shows and Bluesfest. Head to theGuide, The Music App and our Bluesfest page for more.
