More than a dozen productions, eight world premieres and 120 artists await

This year sees Arts House turn ten, and in celebration, all Arts House spaces – North Melbourne Town Hall, Meat Market and The Warehouse – will be bursting with artists testing, adjusting, editing and re-editing brand new material to present through the year.

For Dance Massive 2015, running 10–22 Mar, for instance, Arts House have curated nine exciting and diverse contemporary dance works, including seven world premieres, among them Catalogue, presented by Rawcus, focusing on “cataloguing the array of diverse bodies”, which, along with Vicki Van Hout’s creation of a new choreographic language exploring the oldest living culture on the planet, Long Grass, will be playing 10–14 Mar.

Beyond the more-than-80-artist-strong roster helping to bring Dance Massive's program to life, Arts House will be hosting a further 36 artists across four productions for its autumn program, including the Melbourne premiere of post's Oedipus Schmoedipus, from 6-10 May; Matthias Schack-Arnott's Next Wave Festival 2014 pick Fluvial, from 13-17 May; Endings, by Tamara Saulwick — another Melbourne premiere for Arts House — also from 13-17 May; and Kate Neal's Semaphore, the world premiere of which will run from 27-31 May.

In addition, Arts House will be running three productions as part of their "Green Tix for Nix" initiative, which opens up the space for punters to enjoy some free Saturday matinees, which is far too underrated a pastime these days — so if you're in the mood for some high-class entertainment without stressing out your wallet, Arts House has you covered.
