More Jeff Bridges More Jeff Bridges

In this constantly connected, always-on-the-go modern world of ours, it can be difficult, if not sometimes outright impossible, to feel like you're getting a good night's sleep in the meagre few hours you find to actually occupy a bed at night.

Good thing, then, that veteran screen hero and occasional musician Jeff Bridges has put together Sleeping Tapes, a full-length album of "intriguing sounds, noises and other things" (like Bridges' soothing spoken segments), to help the restless among us make our date with the Sandman once more.

The 15-track album was created in collaboration with True Detective composer Keefus Ciancia and sound engineer Doug Sax, and is hosted via website building service Squarespace, where, at dreamingwithjeff.com, you can stream the album in full for free or pay what you want for a digital copy, while set-price physical copies are also available. All proceeds from the album sales (not including delivery fees, etc) will go to US non-profit No Kid Hungry, which seeks to end child hunger.

"The world is filled with too many restless people in need of rest — that's why I filled my sleeping tapes with intriguing sounds, noises and other things to help you get a good night's rest," Bridges writes on the album's website.
