The renowned DJ will head Down Under for the Red Bull Music Academy's Club Night series

Acclaimed Californian DJ, Beat Junkies founder and Stones Throw Records stalwart J Rocc will be joining the returning Red Bull Music Academy Club Night series for a run of free shows all around Australia from mid-next month.

The second such series of 2015 following a successful national tour with UK drawcard Clark, J Rocc's jaunt around the nation will get under way at The Manor, in Perth, on 18 February, with support from Charlie Bucket and Henry Sims. He crosses coasts to hit Brisbane's Woolly Mammoth on 19 February with Sampology and Gavin Boyd, down to Melbourne's Mercat on 20 February with KanoArks and Danielsan, up to Sydney to hit GoodGod Small Club on 21 February with Mike Who and Naiki, and then wraps it all up in the south at Surrender, in Adelaide, on 22 February, with Kano and Jimmy Caution.

Given the event's free nature and high appeal, an RSVP facility is available online through which you can express your interest in/intention to attend. J Rocc will also be staging an "on the couch"-style information session at Melbourne's Toff In Town on 20 February, so head on down to hear the veteran muso discuss his influences and offer insights about applying to participate in this year's Red Bull Music Academy in Paris.

This tour will be J Rocc's first solo visit to the country. If you're unfamiliar with the man's many works, enjoy a taster, below, taken from 2011's debut full-length Some Cold Rock Stuf.
