The NSW and WA events go down this June in their respective capitals

The perenially charming Nathan Fillion, currently of Castle and beloved for his work in the short-lived Joss Whedon sci-fi Firefly, has been announced as the newest A-list addition to a growing line-up of personalities bound for this June's Sydney and Perth legs of the annual Supanova Pop Culture Expo.

Having spent the past seven seasons fronting Castle as the drama's eponymous character, Fillion won the hearts of the Firefly/Serenity faithful for his work as ship's captain Malcolm Reynolds during the show's season-long run (plus a movie). In fact, this line-up is a Firefly fan's dream, with ex-castmates Morena Baccarin — now serving time in Gotham as Arkham doctor Leslie Thompkins — and Adam Baldwin (for now, at least) also lined up to appear as guests at the mid-year events.

Venerated Star Wars authors Kevin J Anderson and Rebecca Moesta round out the new additions joining a line-up already boasting Spartacus: War Of The Damned's Liam McIntyre, original Red and Black Power Rangers Austin St John and Walter JonesTrue Blood's Kristin Bauer van Straten, the voice of Ash in PokemonVeronica Taylor, and fellow Poke-player Eric Stuart, who voices Brock and James.
