New music from Pond, Marilyn Manson, Sleater-Kinney and more
Pond – Man It Feels Like Space Again (Spinning Top)
Psychedelic rock group Pond have managed to smash out another album with a set of unique tracks perfected for your listening pleasure. Reviewer Kane Sutton said, "the rest of 2015’s releases are going to have a hell of a lot to live up to" so it should come to no surprise that Man It Feels Like Space Again has been named The Music’s Album of the Week.
Sleater-Kinney – No Cities To Love (Sub Pop/Inertia)
Sleater-Kinney have returned after almost a decade long hiatus and have put together an album that is busting with irresistible riffs and creative tunes. "No Cities To Love should be a template for a band reconvening and reigniting", according to reviewer Chris Familton, so make sure you get the LP once it's out.
Marilyn Manson – The Pale Emperor (Hell, etc./Cooking Vinyl)
Whether you are a fan or a naysayer, it’s hard to ignore Marilyn Manson’s controversial image and his latest offering The Pale Emperor is also hard to ignore. The Music’s Cameron Cooper called the album, "impossibly dark, biter and soulful from start to finish", which seems appropriate for the king of shock rock.
