The event will head back to its original home

Future Music Festival has confirmed its Brisbane event will be changing venues, moving back to its original home of Doomben Racecourse.

The event was originally slated to be held at Brisbane's RNA Showgrounds, where it was held for the first time last year, however a couple of issues have forced the change, including a high demand for tickets and the upgrades FMF has made to a number of its stages. The festival also revealed concerns over preparation time because they were sharing the Showgrounds with Soundwave, which takes place a few days before Future.

Doomben Racecourse has undergone a big revamp during the last year or so, one that the festival's organisers believe will be suit and cater to the production of Future '15, including the Supernova stage that will play host to Avicii, as well as the massive Futuredome stage and Drake's headlining set.

Future Brisbane takes place on Saturday, 7 Mar. Check out all the latest updates for the event through our dedicated Festivals page.
