Ubiquitous US pop chanteuse Taylor Swift has had to add a second date in Melbourne and Adelaide to her forthcoming 2015 Australian tour after her first scheduled dates in the cities sold out.

The Shake It Off songstress will now take to Adelaide Entertainment Centre's grand stage a second time on Tuesday, December 8, with special guest Vance Joy, before fitting in an extra appearance at Melbourne's AAMI Park on Saturday, December 12, taking her spread of antipodean appearances up to six next to her existing dates in Melbourne and Adelaide plus shows in Brisbane and Sydney.

Swift's most recent album, 1989 — for which her world tour is named — recently went Double Platinum in Australia just more than a month after its release, holding the top two spots for three weeks each on the ARIA Albums chart. It holds the distinction of being the first Platinum album for 2014 in the United States, almost a full 11 months through the year at the time of its release. We know you've got plenty of time to kill until she's here in the flesh, so why not pass a few minutes by reacquainting yourself with some of the sweet stuff?

Tickets for the new performances — as well as the Brisbane and Sydney shows — are on sale as of this morning via Ticketek. For a full rundown of dates, venues and other booking information, head over to theGuide or see The Music App.
