The new venue also has a number of shows coming up

FBi Social's replacement at the Kings Cross Hotel has opened, with the level two venue also locking in a number of artists to perform over the coming weeks.

The Bandroom was launched over the weekend, with performances from locals Spookyland, Tim Fitz, Mammals and more taking place on both Friday and Saturday.

The venue has also confirmed a number of acts who will perform there over the coming weeks, including Lower Spectrum, Sunbeam Sound Machine, Moon Holiday, Setec and more.

Bandroom's focus will be on emerging local talent, much like the venue has always done according to Kings Cross Hotel's Elliot Solomon.

"Before, the room was mainly used on Friday and Saturday nights so we thought it would be a fantastic opportunity to help nurture local talent by working with local music schools and organisations to allow their students to perform in our incredible space," he said.

FBi Social confirmed it was closing back in October.
