Says she made four acceptance videos

Star singer-songwriter Sia Furler is giving away her four ARIA Awards she won last night after not appearing at the awards.

Furler, who yesterday was named one of the most important people in the music industry, was a notable absence from last night’s awards and has kept out of the public eye in the lead-up to and following the release of album 1000 Forms Of Fear. Receiving four awards including Album Of The Year and Best Female Artist, her awards were accepted by presenters and a video message delivered for her Album Of The Year win.

After coming under criticism from those at the awards for her no-show, Sia has today said that she recorded four acceptance videos and will be giving away her awards.

“I made four thank you/acceptance videos for the arias,” she wrote on Twitter. “They chose to show one. I'm saddened to be getting shit for being a 'no-show'.”

She added, “On the upside, I won! Who wants one? First four people to document doing a good deed, I'll send you an aria. GO!!!”

ARIA CEO Dan Rosen said today that the other acceptance speeches will be uploaded to YouTube.

In a statement sent to theMusic.com.au he said, “ARIA would have loved for Sia to attend and we invited her to perform at the event, but unfortunately she couldn't make it.

“Of her two Award wins that were televised, the Album Of The Year video acceptance footage was shown on air and Sia's friend, Katy Perry accepted Best Female Artist on her behalf. We are currently downloading all four of her acceptance speeches with all the other broadcasted footage, which will be made live on ARIA’s YouTube Channel shortly.”

Iggy Azalea, also a member of this year's AMID Power 50, was also absent from the awards and won Best Breakthrough Artist.

The Awards attracted their highest TV ratings in years, partly thanks to the star appeal of those present including One Direction, 5 Seconds Of Summer and Katy Perry.
