More The Veronicas More The Veronicas

The Veronicas' comeback trail is lit brightly, with the Brisbane-bred sisters staring down the pointy end of the ARIA Albums Charts as their lauded self-titled full-length readies itself for its ranked debut.

The pop siblings stand a solid possibility of coming out on top come week's end, and are all but a certainty to occupy one of the upper rankings by the time results are finalised, with their fresh single If You Love Someone also a chance at a top-ten placing. They'll be joined by fellow new entrants Dean Ray (Dean Ray), Guy Sebastian (Madness) and potential top-10-placer David Guetta (Listen), as well as Olly Murs (Never Been Better), veteran crooners Boyzone (Dublin To Detroit), AMA winner Iggy Azalea (Reclassified), Coldplay (Ghost Stories Live 2014) and David Bowie (Nothing Has Changed — The Best Of David Bowie).

Alongside all the new faces, expect to see a solid degree of movement among existing placeholders, with annual Yuletide drawcard Michael Buble a possibility for the top ten with Christmas, and further manoeuvres from Jessica Mauboy Beautiful), INXS (The Very Best), Human Nature (The Christmas Album), 5 Seconds Of Summer (5 Seconds Of Summer), Angus & Julia Stone (Angus & Julia Stone) and Neil Finn & Paul Kelly (Goin' Your Way).

On the singles side of things, The Veronicas are shaping up to be one of only three new entrants, along with Nicki Minaj for Bed Of Lies, featuring Skylar Grey, and Samantha Jade, for Sweet Talk. However, there's a fair bit of activity likely from the incumbents, with Mark Ronson's Uptown Funk, featuring Bruno Mars, The Veronicas' You Ruin Me, Lorde's Yellow Flicker Beat, Charli XCX's Break The Rules and Sia's Chandelier all set to make movements along the ladder at the end of the week.
